PTM - 12:30 - Early Dismissal Wednesday & Thursday


Home Work:
1.  Read - aloud to someone for approx. 10 minutes
2.  Spelling  - Unit 3 - Quiz:  Friday
3.  Learning Log -  Asaja*, Hannah

Home Reading & Speaking & Listening:
Thank you to all families for supporting your child's reading thought nightly read aloud sessions.  Each week, on your child's speaking day, I will collect the reading logs to review and reward th e students.  The Reading Log is collected 1 x weekly to keep things simple for families.

Students are required to have their reading book [book bag] for read aloud in the classroom daily

Speaking and Listening Duotangs are requested to be brought in for teacher review on your child's Speaking and Listening day.  I will keep the Speaking and Listening Duotangs until the next assignment.  Students will receive the assignments for the following week usually on a Thursday or Friday, so as to give plenty of time for presenting.    At this point in the year, students can have some support in writing notes, however, the goal is to have students complete all parts of the task [writing notes, preparing, and presenting] with limited adult support.  We have very capable kids...who will rise to the occasion!

Please bring in your Speaking and Listening Duotang asap:  Ryland, Joseph, Ayanna, Dylan, Liam, Tias, Tyanne, Taymin, Noah, Asaja*, Emily, Keelan, and Seth 

Schedule: 
Computers:  Tuesday afternoons
Library:  Tuesday mornings - 2 book limit for maximum of 2 weeks
PE:  Wednesday and Thursday mornings
Fine Arts & Problem Solving Skills:  Tuesday & Wednesday afternoons [Mrs. McPherson]


Special Events: 
1. Parent Teacher Meetings - Wednesday & Thursday, October 15 & 16, by appointment
2. Family Dance - Friday, Oct. 17 - wear a costume
3. Non Instructional Day - Friday, Oct. 24 - NO SCHOOL - PD Day
