Return of Musical Instruments:
There will be a Grade 5 Strings Program offered next year.  If you know you will be participating in this program, please choose to keep your instrument over the summer (there is no charge) and into next fall.  However, if you know that you will not be able to use your instrument or will not be participating in the Grade 5 Strings Program, you can return your instrument at any time.  We will not be having any more classes during the month of June.  Thank you to all students and families for your support of the Strings Program.  We hope to see many of you performing next year!  OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE today.  Thank you for all of your hard work!

Music: Recital tomorrow.  1:15 in the gym.  Practice  songs 78, 80, 86, 88, 89, 90, 92.  Bring your  instruments & books; wear colourful clothing.
Socials: Projects are due on Wednesday.  Many are completed as we spent a lot of the day working on them.  However, if not yet completed, find time during the week to do so.

Summer Opportunities

1. Today, TRU Sports Camps instructors visited our school, spending time with the students playing games and doing activities that they might do at a chosen camp.  Posted is a web link that will give you more information for registration and information.  Special rates for multiple weeks or for TRU employees are available (sportcamp@tru.ca).

2. Math Camp 2012 - Grades 4-9 Support or Enrichment  - This program is intended to either improve students' math skills and confidence, or build on existing confidence and extended mathematical thinking for students desiring enrichment. 
    The program will start on July 3rd, with 15 daily sessions that are 3 hours each, Monday to Thursday, until July 26 from 8:30-11:10 am, or afternoons 11:50-2:30pm at various locations in the city.  Registration will be through the SD 73 Summer School website:  summerschool.sd73.bc.ca.  For more information contact Mark McVittie, Numeracy Coordinator, SD 73:
