SKATING REMINDER:
Skating on FRIDAY afternoon at Mac Park Arena.  If possible, please bring skates on Thursday.  Make sure your skates are secured in a bag (bus safety regulation). 

Hockey players, please bring helmets with face masks and neck guards, as well as gloves, sticks, etc. 

Can You Help?
We require one Parent Driver to carry our hockey sticks, as they are not allowed to be carried loosely on the bus.   If you can help, please see Ms. Pawliuk or Ms. Petty (or put a note in agenda).  Thanks!

Thank you to all families for you support of our cookie day today. We had fun measuring, making, and eating our projects!  Thank you for all of the rolling pins, cookie cutters, and bowls.   Mrs. Nessman gave all items a 'quick wash' so we could return them to you today.  

An ENORMOUS THANK YOU to Riley and Mrs. Nessman for leading us in our baking lesson.  We appreciate you spending the morning with us.   What a great holiday gift!

 Mrs. Nessman's Short Bread Cookies

Preset Oven: 300 F
Time: Bake 20 minutes
Recipe: 4 students

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup flour
1/4 cup berry sugar

Process:
  1. Mix butter and sugar until fluffy
  2. Add flour. Mix well.
  3. Put dough on counter and knead until it cracks.
  4. Roll dough fairly thick. Use small cookie cutter.
  5. Bake until edges are lightly tinged with colour.

Our cookie baking day is tomorrow.   Students have been asked to wear a short sleeve shirt, and if they have long hair, have it tied back.

If you can help with baking supplies we require: 4 rolling pins, 3 large bowls, and festive cookie cutters.   If you are willing to loan us a rolling pin, bowl, or send in a cutter or two, we'd appreciate your support.  Please label your bake ware so that we can return it to you promptly.   Thanks for adding to our class's festivities!

Our food and toy drive was a success.  We surpassed our school goal of 550kg of food bringing in 558 kg of donations.  Thank you to all families for helping our school to succeed.  Our class contributed 44.5 kg of food.  We appreciate all of our families' generous support.
